Isaiah 11:6-9 “The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. (7) The cow and the bear shall graze; their young ones shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. (8) The nursing child shall play by the cobra's hole, and the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper's den. (9) They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea.”
It is in the new earth that God will create, that Isaiah’s prophecy quoted above will finally come to pass. For it is in God’s new earth, that carnivores will once again become herbivores, for this passage of scripture teaches us that the lion will eat straw like the ox. The last time this happened, was in the Garden of Eden before Adam and Eve sinned, for during that period, the lion also ate straw like the ox (Genesis 1:30). And so, as shown in the above passage, there will no longer be any “wild” animals in the earth, for all will be tame, and all species will get along together. And also, all species will have a special affinity with mankind, for the above passage reveals that little children will play with, what today are considered to be extremely dangerous animals, i.e. cobras, vipers, leopards and lions, and yet in God’s new earth, these same animals will be as docile as lambs, when interacting with the children that play with them.
Isaiah 65:17-25 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former shall not be remembered or come to mind. … (25) The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain," Says the Lord.”
We have already looked at the above passage of scripture in a previous section, but this same passage also confirms to us the truth that all animals will be completely docile and tame in the new earth, and all carnivores will once again become herbivores.
