Revelation 2:7 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God."”
Revelation 22:14 “Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”
And so, unlike the river of life, which will be freely available to everyone, the fruit of the tree of life will only be available to the saints of God. Both passages of scripture quoted above, confirm this truth to us. For in the first passage quoted, our Lord Jesus has stated that one of the rewards that He will give to His saints is that He will allow them to eat from the tree of life. In the second passage quoted, the Holy Spirit tells us that it is only those who do His commandments (in this life), that will have the right to eat from the tree of life.
