The day of judgement

Daniel 7:9-10 “I watched till thrones were put in place, and the Ancient of Days was seated; His garment was white as snow, and the hair of His head was like pure wool. His throne was a fiery flame, its wheels a burning fire; (10) A fiery stream issued and came forth from before Him. A thousand thousands ministered to Him; Ten thousand times ten thousand stood before Him. The court was seated, and the books were opened.”

Revelation 20:11-12 “Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. (12) And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”

In both passages of scripture quoted above, the Holy Spirit gives us a glimpse of what the final judgement day will look like. Other than Satan, the beast and the false prophet, which we have already mentioned, all of God’s creation will be present on that day, standing before God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The witnesses present will be the twenty-four elders (Revelation 4:4), the four living creatures (Revelation 4:6) and all the children of God that would have received their resurrected bodies by that time. The church will be seated as the judges on that day. Satan’s angels (including all demons) and all the unbelievers will stand before the church to receive their judgement. All the angles of God will also be present, to enforce the judgements pronounced by the church on Satan’s angels and on all the unbelievers. And so, we see that the number standing before the throne of God on that day will be innumerable.
