So just how does speaking in other tongues, bring spiritual guidance into the realm of our understanding? As we bring a situation before the Father in prayer, and we begin to pray in tongues concerning that issue, we will find thoughts coming into our minds from within our spirits, regarding that situation. You will find yourself thinking about aspects, that you have never thought about before. Those thoughts are God’s counsel to you, as to what He wants you to do. It may not happen instantly. In fact, in most instances you will have to pray in tongues for a period of time, until those thoughts begin to surface in your mind. Just keep praying until they do. When they do, you will recognise that God has given you His guidance, because it will most likely not be something you have thought about before. If it is something you have already thought about, then it is just God confirming with you that your thoughts are on the right track, so you can go ahead and follow that course of action. You will also have a peace on the inside of you that this is the will of God for your situation. Go ahead and act on that, and experience being led by the Holy Spirit, as God intended.
