Ministers that operate in the flesh have no power. So if they have no power, just how do they try to mimic the power of the Holy Spirit in this area? They do so by forcefully pushing individuals to the floor or pushing them over backwards when they lay their hands on them. The reason these ministers deliberately push people over is to try make it look like people are falling under the power of the Holy Spirit. People are not stupid however, and so they will not allow themselves to be pushed over backwards to the floor if they think that they will injure themselves. And so the way these ministers overcome the problem, is to have catchers stand behind the individual to catch them when they do fall backwards. Because of the catchers standing behind them, people are therefore willing to play along with the minister and fall over backwards even though they have no encounter with the Holy Spirit. Sadly those in the audience who lack discernment, are then deceived into thinking God’s power is present when they observe people falling over. In order to prevent this abuse from taking place, there are churches that do not condone the practice of having “catchers” stand behind the people being prayed for. And so the absence of having catchers very quickly discourages the fleshly ministers from trying to push people over.
