Genesis 3:8-11 “And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. (9) Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, "Where are you?" (10) So he said, "I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself." (11) And He said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?”
Someone will say, well then God will expect the saints to teach the children of God all about this world’s lifestyle, so that they can adopt it going forward. To answer that point, we need to go back to the Garden of Eden. When God created Adam and Eve they were naked. God had no problem with their nakedness for He had created them that way. Adam and Eve had no problem with their nakedness because that is all they knew. And so, it was during that initial period, that life in the Garden of Eden was simple and everything in the earth was perfect. But that all changed when a tempter came into the garden, to tell Adam and Eve that there was more to life than what they knew. In the above passage of scripture, God asks Adam the question “Who told you that you were naked?” We all know what happened to the one who “told them”; for we have seen that Satan will be cast into the lake of fire forever. And so, just as God was not very appreciative of Satan, telling Adam and Eve that there was more to life than what they knew. Neither will He be appreciative, of any of His saints following after Satan’s example, by telling His children that there is more to life, than what God has decreed for them. But thankfully, none of the saints will follow after Satan’s example, and so there will be no danger of that ever happening. And so, in light of that understanding, we can now examine what life will really be like in the new earth.
