2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; (4) and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.”
There is one last comment I need to make regarding this evidence, which is in the area of doctrine. In the above passage of scripture, the apostle Paul warns us about a time when the saints will no longer endure sound doctrine but rather follow after fables. Ministers that get caught up in signs and wonders that contradict sound doctrine, become themselves more and more unsound in the doctrines that they teach, as the devil is able to exert more and more influence on their thinking. And so, obviously the saints that follow these ministries are themselves led into more and more error. There was a comment made once by a leading minister of the gospel along this line. He said that he had no theology for the way he ministered in the supernatural, and all he had in his favour, was that God kept showing up in his meetings with a display of power. That is a very dangerous place for a minister to operate in, and for those aligned to his ministry, for God confirms His word not our practices.
