Feeding the children of God

Psalms 111:6 “He has declared to His people the power of His works, in giving them the heritage of the nations.”

So, who will the saints’ reign over in the kingdom of God? As we have already mentioned, it will be the children of God that we discussed earlier which will be governed by the saints of God. You recall that we stated that from the outset, that there would be a population of approximately 25 billion people that will inhabit God’s new earth. The above passage of scripture confirms this truth to us, for in it, the Holy Spirit tells us that the Lord has given the nations as a heritage to His saints. In other words, part of the inheritance of the saints, are the thrones that will be given to them to govern God’s people in the various geographic locations in the new earth. One of the smallest settlements in the earth today is a hamlet, which contains a population of between 100 and 400 hundred people. And so, if we were to take the estimated population of the saints to be 300 million, and the estimated population of the children of God to be 25 billion to start with, it would mean that the vast majority of the Lord’s saints will govern settlements of no greater size than a hamlet.

Acts 1:1-3 “The former account I made, O Theophilus, of all that Jesus began both to do and teach, (2) until the day in which He was taken up, after He through the Holy Spirit had given commandments to the apostles whom He had chosen, (3) to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.”

The above passage of scripture is a brief summary of what our Lord did during the forty day period after He was raised from the dead. In that period our Lord appeared to the disciples on numerous occasions, and spoke to them about things pertaining to the kingdom of God. In the same manner, in the age to come, the saints will visit with their constituents frequently, to talk to them about things pertaining to the kingdom of God. And so, in that manner the saints will be feeding the children of God with the word of God, for man shall not live by bread alone but by every word of God (Luke4:4).
