But a terrestrial body on the other hand, is an earthly body, made of both flesh and blood. And it is this type of body, which the children of God will have. As I have already mentioned, the children of God are not heirs of the world and joint heirs with Christ, as the saints are. And so, with their bodies of flesh and blood, they can dwell in the kingdom of God, but they cannot inherit it. And so, we see that the resurrected bodies of the children of God will be similar to the bodies that Adam and Eve had before they sinned, because they will have bodies of flesh and blood.
Acts 17:24-26 “God, who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands. (25) Nor is He worshiped with men's hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives to all life, breath, and all things. (26) And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth.”
In a later section in this series, we will see that the children of God will themselves have offspring in God’s new earth. And so, it is precisely because the children of God will have terrestrial bodies made of flesh and blood that they will be able to have offspring, and thus multiply on God’s new earth. For in the above passage of scripture, the Holy Spirit explains to us how God uses the blood of man, to multiply mankind in the earth.
