Revelation 12:6-14 “Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days. … (13) Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. (14) But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent.”
The above passage of scripture refers to the nation of Israel fleeing the land of Israel when the Anti-Christ invades that nation. The period of time that Israel will remain in the wilderness is exactly the same period of time that the two witnesses will minister on the earth, i.e. one thousand two hundred and sixty days. When the scripture says that “they” will feed her there, it is referring to the two witnesses supernaturally providing for the saints’ physical needs. God has done that once before when Israel was in the wilderness for forty years, and He will do so once again. Both prophets were used of God to perform miracles of provision when they were on the earth the first time, and both will be used by the Lord in that same manner once again. You will recall that our Lord Jesus admonished His disciples in Judea to flee to the mountains when the Anti-Christ set up his reign in the temple (Matthew 24:16). And so it will be in the wilderness regions that the two witnesses will minister to the Lord’s saints, during that time. It will be during this time, under the ministries of the two witnesses that multitudes of Jews will come to faith in Jesus their Messiah.
