Ezekiel 43:12 “This is the law of the temple: The whole area surrounding the mountaintop is most holy. Behold, this is the law of the temple.” In reference to the site which today is called “the temple mount”, God in the above passage of scripture, has stated that “the whole area surrounding the mountaintop is most holy”. Currently, the Muslim shrines called the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aksa Mosque are placed on that site. God will not allow His temple to be built alongside any other shrine. And so, there is coming a day when those Muslim shrines will be removed. This will take place when the time of the gentiles has been fulfilled, and the city of Jerusalem is once again restored to the Jewish people (Luke 21:24). Michael E.B. Maher
