When our Lord Jesus returns to the earth, there will be other nations on the earth (not Muslim, but unsaved nevertheless), and those nations would not have received the mark of the beast or followed him. And so, those nations will not be destroyed when our Lord returns. You will recall that in Daniel’s earlier vision that we looked at, that our Lord showed him that four kingdoms will be on the earth when our Lord returns, and that it is the fourth kingdom that will be destroyed while the other three remain. The other three kingdoms will all consist of nations of unbelievers, and it is these nations that our Lord Jesus and His saints will reign over during His thousand-year reign on the earth. The fourth kingdom is already in place, which is the Muslim faith. Scripture reveals to us that the ten kings and the Anti-Christ will arise from this kingdom. The extent of reach of the fourth kingdom in the earth has not yet been revealed. But currently, Islam is growing faster than any other religion. And at the current growth rate it is estimated that by the year 2030, Muslims will make up more than one quarter of the world’s population. Michael E.B. Maher
