The Lord will not come before the temple is built

And so, the next key event that must take place chronologically before our Lord Jesus returns is that the third Jewish temple must be built in the city of Jerusalem. When our Lord Jesus ministered on the earth, He prophesied in Luke’s gospel that the second Jewish temple in which He was standing at the time would be destroyed (Luke 21:6). That prophecy was fulfilled in the year 70 AD, when that temple was destroyed by the Roman army. Our Lord then went on to prophecy about another temple that would be built. Michael E.B. Maher
