The Gospel preached to the nations

Matthew 24:14 “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Another key event that must take place before our Lord Jesus returns to the earth, is that the fullness of the gentiles must be brought into the church (Romans 11:25). As quoted above in Matthew’s gospel, our Lord Jesus said that the gospel of the kingdom would be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end would come. The word of the Lord Jesus will be fulfilled. Every nation on the earth, would have heard the gospel preached before He returns. But I want you to notice that our Lord did not say, that the gospel would be preached in the entire world, at the same time. He also did not say that the gospel would be preached to all nations, all the time until the end. From the start of the church age until now, at some point in time, most if not all nations have had the gospel preached in them as a witness to that nation. However, when they heard it preached, not all nations responded positively to the message of the gospel. You will recall that our Lord Jesus taught us, that there will be cities that will not be receptive to the message of the gospel. In those instances, those sent to preach to those cities were to leave those cities and wipe off the dust from their feet as a testimony against them. Michael E.B. Maher
