It is very amusing to see all the predictions that are made by various “teachers” of the end times, as to who they say the Anti-Christ is. These predictions range from the latest Pope, to the latest American president, and their predictions always change when that person either dies or moves off the world stage. However, the bible reveals to us a very different person to any predicted by the many end time teachers that are out there. With regards to the individual referred to as the Anti-Christ, there are several things that we have already learnt in this teaching up to now. We have seen that he comes out of the Muslim faith. We have also seen that he will confront God’s two witnesses in the city of Jerusalem and that He will kill them. This will be an event that will be seen by the whole world, and the world will rejoice at his triumph over Moses and Elijah. In the previous passage we see very clearly that the Anti-Christ will set himself up as god in the earth, and that he will not tolerate the worship of any other than himself, for the scripture says that he “opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God”. Again we see in this passage that the temple of God, which we looked at in an earlier section, will be a focal point for him, for he will sit in God’s temple thus showing himself to the world that he is in fact, god.
