John 3:16-17 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. (17) For God did not send His Son into the world, to condemn the world, but that the world through Him, might be saved.”
The second witness quoted above, is the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. In the above passage of scripture, our Lord Jesus is very clear to us as to why God sent Him into the earth. It was so that the whole world could be saved through Him. For Jesus tells us that God loved the whole world, and that whoever in the world chooses to believe in Jesus, would be saved. Again, this means that no one is excluded. In this passage, Jesus is very clear as to just who will be saved, i.e. whoever believes in Him. But it is not that point that we are discussing in this section, but rather the point that God’s clear intention for sending His Son into the earth, was so that everyone in the world could be saved. And so clearly through faith in Jesus, God has made provision for everyone to be saved.
1 Timothy 2:3-6 “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, (4) who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (5) For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, (6) who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”
The third witness quoted above, is the apostle Paul. We have already looked at this passage of scripture to show that it is God’s prefect will for all men to be saved, but the last part of this passage also reveals to us the truth that God not only desires all men to be saved, but that God has also made provision for all men to be saved. For the scripture says that Jesus gave Himself as a ransom for all. In other words, Jesus paid the price for all of mankind, not just a select few. Again, this means that no one is excluded. And so clearly through the ransom that Jesus has paid, God has made provision for everyone to be saved.
