2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 “Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, (4) who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” In the above quoted passage of scripture, the apostle Paul in writing to the church in Thessalonica by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit teaches us that the son of perdition, who is also called the Anti-Christ, will one day sit in the temple of God. The Anti-Christ will do this to show himself to the world that he is god. Therefore we can clearly see that God’s temple will be in place before the end of the age. When Paul wrote his letter to the church in Thessalonica the second Jewish temple had not yet been destroyed, and so those disciples knew exactly which temple Paul was referring to in his letter.
