Genesis 6:1-4 “Now it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them, (2) that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they chose. … (4) There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.”
So what else do we know about the person of the Antichrist? Scripture reveals to us his number as 666, which is the number of a man, and so we know that the Antichrist is a man (Revelation 13:18). Nevertheless even though the Antichrist is a man he is not an ordinary man, for scripture also reveals to us that he was on the earth once before, and that he is currently being held captive in the bottomless pit, and that he will be released in his time to come back to the earth. The apostle Paul revealed this truth to us in his letter to the church in Thessalonica, when he taught us that the Antichrist is currently being restrained and will only be revealed to the earth once the angel releases him (2 Thessalonians 2:7-8). Although the Antichrist is a man, he is also the offspring of an angel. We see that truth revealed to us in the above quoted passage of scripture, which describes to us the account of the rebel angels that left their proper domain and came to the earth for the express purpose of cohabiting with human women in order to produce hybrid offspring, i.e. part angel and part man. This incident occurred before the time of Noah.
