No saints have been rewarded yet

Daniel 12:13 “But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days.”

In the above quoted passage of scripture, the angel Gabriel told the prophet Daniel that at the end of his life on the earth that he would rest. In other words, Gabriel told him that when he died that he would enter his rest. The angel told Daniel that he would rest until the time came for him to be raised from the dead. Gabriel told Daniel that it was only when he was raised from the dead at the regeneration that he would receive his eternal inheritance. The reason for that is because Daniel’s works will follow him, and only at the regeneration will his works be judged. And it is only as a result of his works being judged that our Lord will reward him with his eternal inheritance. This same principle is applicable to all the saints in heaven, for none have been judged yet and so none have received their rewards yet, and they are all resting from their labours done here of the earth.

Luke 16:25 “But Abraham said, 'Son, remember that in your lifetime you received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things; but now he is comforted and you are tormented.”

In the account given to us by our Lord Jesus of Abraham’s bosom, our Lord tells us of the comfort that Lazarus is experiencing in heaven at this present time. And so we see that at this present time, as far as the believers that have died in the Lord are concerned, they are resting in heaven and they are being comforted.
