Jude 1:9 “Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!”
So who are the two witnesses? We know that Elijah himself is one of the witnesses. And we know that Elijah has never tasted physical death, for God took him into heaven while he was still alive (2 Kings 2:11). So who is the other witness? As we look at scripture we clearly see that the second witness is Moses. There are several pointers given to us in scripture to show us that Moses is the second witness. We know that Moses died physically because scripture tells us this. But Moses is the only person in the bible that God instructed the archangel Michael to bury, and then kept his burial place a secret (Deuteronomy 34:6). We know that Moses body was special because, as revealed to us in the above passage of scripture, Satan wanted to have access to it after Moses death. You will recall that while Moses was alive, that the reflection of God’s glory emanating from Moses body was that strong that he had to wear a veil over his face when he spoke to the children of Israel (Exodus 34:35). Because Moses body had been exposed to the glory of God on the mountain for such a prolonged period (it was eighty days in total), his body could no longer decay after His spirit left it. That body has still not decayed, and is still reflecting the glory of God waiting for Moses to enter it once again.
