Acts 15:13-19 “And after they had become silent, James answered, saying, "Men and brethren, listen to me: (14) Simon has declared how God at the first visited the Gentiles to take out of them a people for His name. (15) And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written: “After this I will return and will rebuild the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will set it up; (17) So that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who are called by My Name, says the Lord Who does all these things.' (18) "Known to God from eternity are all His works. (19) Therefore I judge that we should not trouble those from among the Gentiles who are turning to God.”
The third witness quoted above, is the apostle James. In this passage, James by inspiration of the Holy Spirit tells us that God knows all His works from eternity. In other words, James is not telling us that God knows which are His works and which are not, for all of creation are God’s works, but rather James is telling us that God knows everything about all of His creations, before He ever creates them. And so, from this passage, the apostle James confirms the truth to us that God knew everything about all of His creations before time began, for there is nothing that God does not know. It is a very simple and yet very profound truth, that God knows everything (Psalm 147:5). Once you accept that truth, then you have no problem understanding the concept that God knows everything about all of His creation from eternity.
