Galatians 2:6 “But from those who seemed to be something--whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God shows personal favoritism to no man.”
God has decreed that His saints are to live by faith (Hebrews 10:38). God is not unjust in admonishing us to do that because as we have shown in this section, He has given each one of us the gift of faith and that faith is indeed the faith of His Son Jesus Christ. But there is another aspect to this truth that we also need to understand, which is that every saint has received the same gift of faith. In other words no saint has received any more faith than another, for if that were true then God would be unjust because the saint that received more faith would more easily be able to comply with God’s admonishment for all of His saints to live by faith. God is not unjust however, and in the above quoted passage of scripture the Holy Spirit reaffirms that truth to us by telling us through the apostle Paul that God shows personal favouritism to no man. And so we see that just as God has given each one of His children the gift of faith, so it is that He has also given each one the same measure of faith as well.
