Matthew 18:10 “Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.”
In the above quoted passage of scripture when Jesus revealed the truth about angels being assigned to children, He did not state that only a select few had angels assigned to them. He clearly stated that all children have angels assigned to them, and that their angels always see the face of God the Father who is in heaven. The reason that God assigns to each child on the earth their own angel, is because each child born into the earth is a child of God. In this passage Jesus taught us not to despise little ones. The reason for that is because they are God’s children, and any that harm them will have to give an account to Him.
Deuteronomy 1:34-40 “And the Lord heard the sound of your words, and was angry, and took an oath, saying, (35) 'Surely not one of these men of this evil generation shall see that good land of which I swore to give to your fathers, (36) except Caleb the son of Jephunneh; he shall see it, and to him and his children I am giving the land on which he walked, because he wholly followed the Lord.' (37) The Lord was also angry with me for your sakes, saying, 'Even you shall not go in there. (38) Joshua the son of Nun, who stands before you, he shall go in there. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel to inherit it. (39) 'Moreover, your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there; to them I will give it, and they shall possess it. (40) But as for you, turn and take your journey into the wilderness by the Way of the Red Sea.”
The above quoted passage of scripture gives us clear insight as to how God’s sees little children. The context of this passage of scripture is that Moses was recounting to the children of Israel how God had led them up until that point. Moses told them what God’s response was to them refusing to enter into the Promised Land when He had commanded them to. The point that I want to highlight from in this passage of scripture, is that God Himself said that their little ones “had no knowledge of good and evil”. And so clearly in God’s eyes children have no knowledge of good and evil, and He deems them to be innocent before Him. In other words God does not hold them accountable for any sin, for He is not unjust to hold accountable those who have no knowledge of good and evil.
Psalms 106:37-38 “They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to demons, (38) and shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; And the land was polluted with blood.”
In the passage of scripture quoted above the Holy Spirit reveals to us that God views children as being innocent, for He tells us that their parents, who had murdered them by sacrificing them to demons, had shed innocent blood. This passage again confirms to us that God does not hold children accountable for sin, for one who is innocent before God is free from all guilt. And so, we can clearly see from the scriptures quoted in this section, that all children are part of God’s kingdom and that He does not hold them accountable for sin.
