The Seleucid Empire was located geographically, in the same place where Daniel was standing when he received his vision. In his vision, the angel Gabriel revealed to Daniel that the kingdom of the Anti-Christ would arise from that geographic location in the last days. For in the vision, the Lord revealed to Daniel that the kingdom of the “little horn”, which represented the kingdom of the Anti-Christ, would grow exceedingly great from that geographic point. The Lord showed Daniel that the kingdom of the Anti-Christ would from that point; grow exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, and toward the Glorious Land. The Glorious Land in this vision refers to the land of Israel. If we were to stand today at the same geographic point that Daniel was standing at when he received his vision, we would be standing in what is today modern-day Iran.
