1 Kings 13:1-2 “And behold, a man of God went from Judah to Bethel by the word of the Lord, and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. (2) Then he cried out against the altar by the word of the Lord, and said, "O altar, altar! Thus says the Lord: 'Behold, a child, Josiah by name, shall be born to the house of David; and on you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you and men's bones shall be burned on you.'”
God, as the creator of all of mankind, decides when each of us will be born into the earth and where we will be born. The above passage of scripture confirms that truth for us. The context of this passage is that Jeroboam the king of Israel had set up idols and altars in Israel, so that the children of Israel could offer sacrifices to those idols. In response to his actions, God had sent His prophet to Israel, to pronounce God’s judgement on them. And so, in this passage, we see the prophet of God prophesying about a king that God would raise up in Judea, what that king would specifically do to those altars, and even what the king’s name would be. That prophecy was given by the prophet of God, in the year 922 BC.
